Spring Has Sprung ~ DS4J Mid-Challenge #67

Hello everyone! I've been missing for several days attending a family reunion for property hearing two Mondays ago. When I came back, I couldn't craft straight away because it's my son's turn facing chicken pox followed by daughter number two. They got it from their big sister who has recovered with some marks, brrrr. Daughter number three is still safe until today; hoping for the best :) School holidays is just around the corner and the kids are anxious to spend time with my Mother down south (we will leave this Friday). Nevertheless, they have to stay indoor. It doesn't matter if they can't go anywhere so long they can be their grandmother and help out. Honestly speaking, they are totally bored staying home!
Enough blab. Next on my agenda today is to announce DS4J Mid-Challenge. The theme is Spring Has Sprung! Take a peek here to see what my design teammates have created. For my card, I have used a lovely image Tulip Basket and you can get it here.

Supplies: DS4J image, Origami papers, MS border punch, Copic Sketch, Petaloo flowers, border sticker, Kaisercraft brown ink pad
I love the texture of these origami papers.
Making this card is similar to the way I scrap layouts, lol. I love using my own alpha dies and dymo for titles
I love tulips and this time I go for sephia tone.

I would like this card to enter these challenges:
1. Simon Says Stamps Challenge : Flower Power
2. Cute Daisy May : May Flower
3. Let's Create : Ch#70 Die Cuts

Thank you for dropping by and have a nice day. Till then.
Hugs and smiles,

"The Rarest of Flowers" with Lady Anne's May Stamp Challenge

Hello everyone! Life's been hectic and exhausting on my end since Tuesday when my eldest came home from boarding school with fever and rashes that turns out to be chicken pox. I'm nursing her every now and then as well as preparing my mind and soul if or when her three siblings ever catch the virus from their sister, lol. I was able to take a long rest yesterday and let my mind sleep in the end; it hardly sleep tight when I'm sleeping, hihi.
I apologize for posting this a little bit late but seriously I don't have much energy to face the computer screen when I had less sleep the last few days attending to a sick child.

I'm just Saying...You Could Do Better"

Hello everyone! How's life? Hope life is treating you good.
I've been m-i-a for a few days giving priority to my sick child. Anis has never been absent from classes since kindergarten and always set full attendance record all way through primary school until today, she lost her crown. For the first time this year she's too sick to go to school so she will not receive her full attendance certificate in November. Never mind...her health is more important I told her but nevertheless, she is down. Talk about determination! She makes me a proud mother...smile...

Sharing with you today is a sample card specially made for DigiStamps4Joy Mid-Challenge #65 and the theme is Bling on a Shape.
There are 2 requirements for this challenge:
Make an easel shaped card (plain or twisted),
and ADD BLING somewhere on the card.

This challenge will end on 30 April 2013 so you still have time. I'm excited to see your creations.
Click HERE and take a peek at my design teammies' creations.
Here's  mine:
Supplies: DS4J digi image, sentiment from Ginger's House, Copic Sketch, Carla Craft punch, MS punch, others from my stash
I'm not a big fan of purple but I have noticed that I have made several cards with different shades of purple the last couple of months =) The maroon mulberi paper underneath the purple punched edgy has been in my treasure box for 11 years! I bought them in big roll and have used it over the years and still have extras! Best buy indeed, lol.

Welcome Home

Welcome to my home everyone! It's mid-challenge time for your favorite theme Anything Goes challenge at DigiStamps4Joy and you have until April 16 to submit you paper creations. Check out what Team B has designed for your inspirations at DS4J.

First let me tell you that I love cottages! I just adore the stunning cottages in England and used to 'build' 1000+ jigsaw pieces into a beautiful cottage that is hanging at my parents' home in their living room (my father shared my love for wall hanging pictures, awesome:). I also display an array of fridge magnet cottages on my fridge (hubby never complains, so I can always hunt for more:). I've cross-stitched a beautiful Edwardian Cottage also hanging at my parents' bedroom wall. Meanwhile I am struggling to finish my own wall hanging for my home and this cross-stitch project has taken me over a year (sigh) but I love this particular cottage I won't give up because my next cross-stitch project would be Periwinkle Cottage that my sis Lili plans to do as well. Let's see if I can beat her; erm, not on the finishing line but who will start first, bahahaa =D

Aaargh, enough rambling, here's my card for your view. I have used Wisteria Splendour and you can get the image here.
Supplies: digi stamp from DS4J, Copic Sketch, gesso, Kaisercraft ink pad, MS border punch, Carla Craft punch, Tattered Angel Glimmer Mist, bird house stamp from Sweet Tweets stamp set exclusive freebie from Australia Scrapbook Ideas, Versa Fine ink pad, pp from Kaisercraft (paper scraps rather:)
My intention was to use a chippie fence at the bottom of the card but what I have is too short so I used MS punch to make my fence.
I use corrugated box to make the bricks and applied lots of gesso. Then I placed the 'front wall' of my cottage on the brown corrugated cardstock I have been keeping for 11 years!
This card design has inspired myself to make a wall hanging project next time most probably with similar image because that front door drawn by Margy is pretty much the same like my front door except mine is grey has 12 panels except I don't have that bricks, I wish :)
I hope this artsy work gives you some inspirations.
Before I close my door, I'm taking this card into these challenges:
1. Crafter's Digital Artist Center : Anything Goes
2. Sketches 4 All : Using Corrugated Cardboard
3. Fab'n'Funky : Spring Colors
4. Divas by Design : Flowers
5. Forever Friends : Diecuts/Punches
6. 613 Avenue : Anything Goes "Spring Fever"
7. The Corrosive Challenge Blog : Spring Fling
8. One Stitch At A Time : Anything Goes
9. Joanna Sheen Challenge : Spring into Spring
10. Lexi's Creations : Punches and/or Diecuts
11. Paper Craft My Challenge : Spring is in the Air

Thank you for dropping by and have a nice day.

DS4J New Product

Hi everyone! It's time again for new digi release by DigiStamps4Joy this week. Three beautiful fairies drawn by Jen Lee can be purchased in the shop. Do take a peek at DS4J and may you get some inspirations from my fellow design teammates.

I have used Whassup Fairy for my center step card:

The image is colored with watercolor pencils and a bit of Copic Sketch.
I used cardstock to make this card and stamp it up with Kaisercraft butterfly stamp for the background. Butterflies are punched with Carla Craft punch.

The quote is uploaded from a facebook post by a friend. Very meaningful, isn't it?
Taking off to these challenges:
1. Crafty Creations : Flowers of Fairies
2. Creative Moments : Things with Wings
3. CCEE Stampers : CCEE1314 Things with Wings

Thank you for dropping by today. I am so glad to have your visit and thanks so much for your time and comments.

Hugs and Smiles,
